Spiral filter fabrics are made of abrasion resistant PET. They contain a strong spiral seam, which has the same tensile strength as the fabric.

Dewatering properties of the fabric are given by its air permeability. Keylife offers spiral fabrics in the range of air permeability form 300 to 900 CFM.

Spiral fabrics are especially suitable for dewatering of fibrous material (paper sludge, pulp) and sludges with a high content of inorganic particles (e.g. mining sludges), but they can also be used for dewatering of treated municipal sludge.
